Complex attack on a guesthouse during a programme surge

The shock
An armed assault on accommodation housing eleven international and national staff began shortly after midnight, with sustained fire and an attempted breach of the safe room.
Our intervention
Safe-room standards, muster drills and an action card for armed intrusion had been rehearsed six weeks earlier. The crisis team activated on the first alert, ran accountability within nine minutes and coordinated with host-nation forces from a pre-agreed contact tree.
The result
All staff accounted for and extracted with no fatalities. The programme resumed on a revised movement posture eight days later.

Abduction of two national staff from a project convoy

The shock
A convoy was stopped at an illegal checkpoint on a route flagged as elevated. Two national staff were taken; contact was lost for nineteen hours.
Our intervention
The abduction protocol named a single decision authority, isolated negotiation from operations, and briefed families within two hours using pre-approved language. Our adviser maintained the threat picture and logged every decision.
The result
Both staff released unharmed. The insurer accepted the claim without dispute on the strength of the decision log, and the route was permanently reclassified.

Election unrest and forced closure of branch network

The shock
Disputed results triggered rioting across three cities, with looting within 400 metres of four branches and staff unable to reach two sites.
Our intervention
An election-violence scenario had been exercised with the executive team the previous quarter. Pre-set triggers closed branches ahead of the unrest, moved staff to remote working and activated a guarding surge under an existing contract.
The result
No staff injuries, no branch losses, and services restored ahead of competitors as the situation stabilised.
